Turkmen-Korean inter-parliamentary cooperation has been discussed

On October 16, 2024, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan B.Durdyyev met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Woo Won-shik, who was on a trip to Turkmenistan to attend 2nd meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of the Central Asian states and the Republic of Korea. During the meeting, Mr. Woo Won-shik expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended during his recent visit to Turkmenistan. He highlighted the productive discussions held on strengthening parliamentary relations and cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels, reaffirming his commitment to work closely with Turkmenistan.

Ambassador B.Durdyyev also expressed appreciation for Mr. Woo Won-shik successful visit, emphasizing the importance of enhancing Turkmen-Korean relations through parliamentary collaboration. Sides confirmed that inter-parliamentary relations are an important component of the interstate dialog and parliamentary friendship groups play a key role in fostering stronger ties in this sphere. Both parties agreed to work closely on the successful organization of the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea to attend upcoming Summit of Central Asia and Republic of Korea.
