XXII CONFERENCE OF THE HUMANITARIAN ASSOCIATION OF THE WORLD TURKMENS WAS HELD IN ASHKHABAD

On September 23, 2019, the 22nd Conference of the Humanitarian Association of the World Turkmens was held in Ashgabat. The forum was attended by representatives of the Turkmen Diasporas, ethnic Turkmen from other countries working in our country, as well as delegates from all regions of the country.

Prior to the start of the HAWT conference, its delegates took part in the grand opening of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the celebration of the 28th anniversary of the country's independence.

In the afternoon, the opening ceremony of the forum took place in the conference hall of the Mekan Palace. The opening ceremony was attended by members of the government, deputies of the Mejlis, representatives of political parties and public organizations, institutes of the Academy of Sciences, ministries and departments, universities that are collective members of the HAWT, individual members of the Association from all regions of the country, scientists and cultural figures, elders, journalists, student youth.

The participants were greeted with great enthusiasm by the Address by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The message of the Head of State emphasizes that the current forum will serve to further consolidate the world's Turkmens, strengthen their brotherhood and unity, revitalize and enrich the new content of cooperation in the name of peace and friendship, prosperity and sustainable development.

During the meeting, a report on the activities of the Humanitarian Association of the World Turkmens was heard. As noted, in 15 countries of the world there are 27 foreign branches of the HAWT, including 364 collective and hundreds of individual members, including 358 from foreign countries.

As the speakers emphasized, all the positive international initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan serve to strengthen friendly relations between states and peoples and are aimed at universal peace and sustainable development. The participants of the Conference also discussed the tasks of further developing the cultural and humanitarian cooperation of the world’s Turkmens.

Within the framework of the forum, a ceremony of awarding diplomas of HAWT activists was held, and at the end a grateful Address was adopted to the President of Turkmenistan, the President of the Humanitarian Association of the World Turkmens Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Then a festive concert of artists took place.

In the foyer of the Palace and in front of the meeting room, an exhibition of works of fine and decorative arts as well as publishing products was launched.
