Telephone conversation between the President of Turkmenistan and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

On March 31, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian.

After exchanging greetings, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed congratulations and best wishes to each other and the fraternal peoples of the two countries on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr (Oraza).

The President of Iran conveyed his best wishes to the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and noted that Iran attaches great importance to the development of multilateral cooperation with Turkmenistan.

The President of Turkmenistan conveyed greetings and warm congratulations on the occasion of Oraza Holiday to President Masoud Pezeshkian from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the high level of relations between Turkmenistan and Iran, based on the principles of equality, good neighborliness and mutual respect.

During the conversation, it was noted that fraternal ties between the two countries are actively developing in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The President of Turkmenistan confirmed his readiness to make efforts to further develop friendly relations on a wide range of issues between the two states in the interests of the Turkmen and Iranian peoples.

The head of Turkmenistan invited the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian to visit Turkmenistan. In turn, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran invited the National Leader of Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan to visit Iran at any convenient time.

At the end of the conversation, the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Masoud Pezeshkian wished each other good health, happiness and success in responsible state activities, and the fraternal peoples of Turkmenistan and Iran – peace, well-being and prosperity.
