Meeting of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

On May 31, 2025, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was held a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, who arrived in Ashgabat on a visit.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation in the political and diplomatic, cultural and humanitarian, trade and economic, energy and transport and communications spheres.
The interlocutors noted the constructive nature of the multifaceted Turkmen-Pakistani relations of proven times and emphasized the current high level of interstate dialogue thanks to the political will of the leadership of the two countries.
The importance of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan within the framework of international structures and the significance of inter-parliamentary interaction mechanisms were confirmed.
The meeting discussed in detail issues related to the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline and other key aspects of the bilateral agenda.
