Turkmen-Georgian consultations on consular issues were held at the MFA of Turkmenistan

On November 20, 2025, the second round of Turkmen-Georgian consultations on consular issues was held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

The Turkmen delegation was headed by D.Muratov, Head of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the Georgian delegation was headed by G.Tabatadze, Director of the Directorate of International Law for Consular and Diaspora Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

During the consultations, a substantive exchange of views took place on current issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular-legal, and migration spheres.

The sides discussed the protection of the rights and interests of citizens and the exchange of information between competent agencies. Particular attention was paid to the introduction of modern technologies in consular activities.

Mutual interest in further strengthening and developing contacts between consular services was expressed.

Following the meeting, the sides signed a corresponding protocol and agreed to hold the next round of consultations in Georgia.
