The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan met with the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag met with the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the celebrations dedicated to the Independence Day of the country.

Expressing his sincere gratitude for the hospitality, the guest warmly congratulated the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty on the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence. Taking this opportunity, he conveyed heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

Thanking him for the congratulations and kind words, the National Leader of the Turkmen people extended reciprocal best wishes to the President and the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. Noting that he is very glad to see Rustam Minnikhanov on the ancient and hospitable Turkmen land, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the guest’s participation in the festive events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s state independence serves as a proof to the traditionally friendly and constructive relations between our country and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation. In this regard, it was noted that Turkmen-Tatarstan cooperation is based on mutual respect, as well as on the strive to further develop a mutually beneficial partnership.

It was emphasized that bilateral cooperation is regular and consistent. Meetings and talks held at the highest level make it possible to determine promising areas of partnership. In this context, the effectiveness of the negotiations held during the visit of Hero-Arkadag to the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation in May of this year was noted.

It was also emphasized that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation is successfully developing within the framework of the interstate dialogue with the Russian Federation. In this regard, the important role of the Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation was highlighted as an effective mechanism for bilateral partnership.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Hero-Arkadag and Rustam Minnikhanov exchanged their best wishes.
